Moyou London Mother Nature 01 Stamping Plate

Moyou London Mother Nature 01 Nail Art Stamping Plate

I’m so glad it’s finally the weekend, and I get a bit of time for me 🙂 it’s been a stressful, busy week, and I’m planning on spending this weekend preparing a few posts for next week, which, as far as I’m concerned, is the best way of relaxing

This is a post I actually prepared last weekend but didn’t have time to finish, which pretty much explains how little spare time I’ve had this week!

I first heard about MoYou-London (yes, you will get told off if you only call them ‘MoYou’!) when Craftynail published this article – it’s the press-release for the Mother Nature Collection, and I just love them! I spent a lot of time trying to decide which ones to order. And at the end of last year, I gave in, and ordered all 6! So today’s post is about Mother Nature 01. You can see that, on the plate, they called it ‘landscape collection’, so I guess it wasn’t originally intended to go with the others or the name got changed or something?

Happy Nail Art for @pmabelle – flower nail art models own

I did this nail art for a competition over at Pmabelle’s blog. The theme is ‘happy’ and I am definitely ‘happy’ enough with this nail art to want to share it 🙂

Happy concours for Pmabelle -002

I decided to do freehand flowers, because flowers, springtime and being outside make me happy. As well as clean, yet bright nail art!

Armistice Day Nail Art (Poppies & “Bleuets de France”)

Armistice Day Nail Art Poppies Bleuet de France

Happy Monday!

We’re lucky in France, Armistice Day is celebrated with a public holiday. Of course, I did a 2 minute silence as a mark of respect (and thanks). Whether you’re working or off today, I hope you have (or had) a nice day 🙂

I did this nail art this morning, to wear throughout the day. I used poppies, which are a symbol of Remembrance Day in the UK (some even call it Poppy Day). And the blue cornflowers are known as ‘bleuets de France’ out here in France. They are the French symbolic flower for Armistice Day. I think it’s nice that they’re both common field-flowers, so they act as a reminder all the time 🙂

The pale blue is Ciaté‘s Ferris Wheel and the red is Boudoir. The bigger outlines are with the bottle brushes. The darker blue details are with a MASH nail art pen, and the black is a Barry M Nail Art pen. To get the edges of the cornflower hazy, I went over the dark blue with the light blue bottle-brush (which I had wiped off well).

A England Jane Eyre & awesome One Stroke Roses

A England Jane Eyre - One Stroke Rose Nail Art-006

Hey ladies! It’s Thursday, which means that tomorrow is Friday, woop! Monday will be another national holiday in France (Armistice Day), so I have another long weekend coming up 🙂

Today I woke up feeling a bit groggy with a huge cold. But since Thursdays are work-from-home days, it wasn’t too bad, I’ve been keeping warm and drinking plenty of fluids. I even got quite a lot of work done in the end 🙂 but since I woke up an hour before I needed to get to business, I grabbed my gorgeous (synthetic – because I really am against animal cruelty, you may have noticed!) Roubloffs and decided to try doing one-stroke roses. For the first time. And it turned out awesome. So prepare for some photo spam!

#31DC2013 – Flowers

Hey ladies!

Well, our internet is being a pain again, it may not be fixed until Tuesday (boo!) so in the meantime, I’ve worked out that if I push my phone right against the window, I can just about get enough 3G to use my phone as a WiFi hotspot. Most of the time. So let’s hope that this post works !

My base colour is Ciaté – Candy Floss. This pink really surprised me, it has a great cool tone to it that is super flattering. The first coat is very sheer and streaky, but the second is just perfection!

OMD Rather Awesome Challenge – 1. Pink

Hey hey hey, it’s day one of the challenge !

As we said, you don’t have to take part every day or do the nail art in the right order, but I’m going to try to anyway 🙂 set a good example and all that…

So here’s my day 1 mani !

If there’s one thing I’ve learned from challenges, it’s that an original mani doesn’t have to be horribly complicated. And for this one, I just doodled on the half-flowers with my models own Artistix nail art pen. I wasn’t very impressed to see that it had seperated a bit, though. I shook it, but since it’s pretty much full and there’s no mixing bead, no joy….

Still, this is a simple mani that I’ve tried once before and totally fudged up, so I was super glad to see it work this time 🙂

I can’t wait to see yours !

Here’s the Inlinkz for today, do click on it to see everyone’s entry 🙂
