Happy Friday ! Stud Nail Art

Whilst I’m not sure if my boss agrees, I think that Friday is a great excuse to wear slightly more ‘edgy’ make up/nails to the office. Within reason of course, but I love this combo !

You’ll have to excuse all of the photos, I knew I loved I Theodora You, but I didn’t realise just how much !

… And I love the jelly texture against the shiny studs!

I found these studs at a very reasonable price, but just tapped them into the polish before it was dry, I’m hoping to be able to re-use them… Remains to be seen, of course !

You can see my nail beds have a very deep C-curve, I’ll keep you updated on how many times I snag these during the course of the day…

O.P.I. – I Theodora You

I was totally lemming over this polish for a while. And it’s pretty nice !

The formula is pretty good, it doesn’t dry very fast but does have a glossy finish. However, it did streak a bit, which was especially noticeable on my super-white tips, so I did 3 1/2 coats to get this effect. Admittedly, I’m crap at applying gellies, I just coat them too thin so they don’t level too well. Anyway, I would recommend 2-3 thick coats on this instead of going with skinny layers.

Anyway, very happy with this one, it’s summery, girly and office friendly 🙂

Swatches – the Hungry Asian – Strawberry, Mint Condition & Belle

Hello everyone!

This week’s been pretty manic at work, I work in tourism for the North American student market, so with Spring Break, it’s been absolutely exhausting!

Still; that’s enough about the Real World. I’m planning on taking part in Short and Sweet in Texas’s April 30 Day Challenge, so I’m preparing for that to get ahead… I don’t have much free time during the week,  so most of my weekends are spent doing nail art anyway 🙂

Today I have some lovely polish from the Hungry Asian (on Etsy) to show you ! I bought these all in mini size, my hands aren’t just abnormally large…

The order arrived a little slower than others, but I don’t mind, and it was beautifully wrapped ! It was more like getting a present than an order. I love that feeling, and really appreciate the extra attention to detail. All the little bottles are heart-shaped with darling little labels and fake gems in the top of the lid. The brushes are surprisingly good, though of course, they are smaller than I’m used to.

Darling Diva Swatches – Unicorn Bath and Anna

Well for the moment these are the last Darling Diva polishes I have to swatch for you. I hope you think they’re worth it… I certainly do !

I must admit, I would still be a fan, even if the polishes were twice the price, so let’s hope that Darling Diva don’t catch on to that, right?

The Etsy shop is on vacation for another couple of days, but there are other outlets listed, and you can ask Etsy to send you an email when it re-opens, if you’d like to check it out !

Today, I have Unicorn Bath and Anna for you – both blue polishes. I am a real sucker for a nice blue, and glitter, so these are both total winners for me…
