Isn’t it funny how, if I had done this nail art a year ago, I would have been super pleased, yet today it feels like a nail fail?!
I’m still happy to put less-than-perfect nail art up, though, I think you all know I’m not perfect already, haha!
Good evening ladies! I hope everyone’s week is off to a good start 🙂 today was super productive for me, so I’m on a high!
Yesterday was Macro Monday, so today is Tutorial Tuesday! I thought it would be nice to do a simple one. Even though we can all do marvelous things with our nails when we want, sometimes we just don’t have the time, right? And this is perfect for the season!
And here are the steps…
Happy Friday ladies! Well, I guess for any of you further East, it’s already the weekend. Does everyone have nice plans? The clocks go back this weekend in France, so we’ll have an extra hour on Sunday night. I’ve also listed almost all of my backlog of polish in the Boutique, and have some exciting news coming up for the beginning of December. So I guess we’ll be staying at home, which suits me fine 🙂
A couple of weeks ago, MoYou-London kindly sent me some plates to review. I had also purchased a couple, one of which I reviewed here. This plate is from the same series – the Suki Collection – it’s number 7 in the series, and did not disappoint!
First up, stamped in gold over a red polish; I used 4 different patterns, and they all came out gorgeous!
Since you can see the logo in the photo, please just be aware that I am not recommending Bondi NY nail polish currently. My September boxes apparently still haven’t been shipped. They were supposed to go out two weeks ago. I’m not going to get involved in details or controversy, but they have $50 of my money, I have nothing in return, and they are not providing an exact shipping date… I don’t want you wasting money ladies, something feels wrong with that company right now
They arrived really quickly (from the UK), and the customer service was really great. I actually ordered through their Amazon site since one of the plates I really wanted wasn’t in stock on their main site. And, being the great dolt that I am, I managed to order the wrong one (I blame Amazon one-click !!) – and realised that just after validating the order. Well, I messaged them straight away and they were really nice about it, and sent the one I meant to order 😀
So one of the two I ordered is from the Suki Collection – it’s number 8 in the series, and is pretty awesome! It’s very hard to photograph shiny things, but I got one, just for you 😉
Happy Friday ! Now, tell me, when was the last time I did a swatch post? It feels like a long time ago! My swatch box has been untouched for a while, so it’s time I started clearing it out, huh?!
Well, I’m coming to the conclusion that I can’t keep pretending that it’s the end of summer any more. We really are in Autumn! Even though out here near Paris it’s on average 18-22°C most days! Anyhow, I guess it’s time I embrace the darker polishes now – I don’t mind so much, I love a dark polish. Some people don’t like them so much on long nails. I don’t care, I love the vampy look!
Kiko 383 (Oil Blue) is just about right for the season 🙂 it’s a deep blue that in synthetic light looks almost teal, and in natural light, is a dark, dusty blue *swoon* there’s no shimmer or anything, it’s a classic creme. And I love polish with glitter and shimmers, but sometimes simple is good too !
