#Naillinkup - Snowflakes

Happy Tuesday. Yep, sorry, it’s not even nearly the weekend yet 😦

I’m really bad at keeping up with our NAIL themes. I kind of feel bad, since I’m one of the organisers, but I’m one of those people that needs quite fixed and relatively urgent time limits, otherwise I end up procrastinating and forgetting. Which is odd, since I’m also one of those people that everyone else thinks is super organised! Well, actually, for those that know me best (hi, Mum!), I force myself to be organised because I’m a naturally messy, disorganised person!

So this month, I promise I’ll keep up! This will probably mean I do them all early, haha.  Continue reading

Autumn Ombré Nail Art

Happy Monday ladies!

I hope your week is going well! Mine sure is, we’re both (my bloke and I) off work all week, so we had a lazy morning, then went out to wander around some shops this afternoon. I found a nice, recently opened, hair & manicure supply shop which had some nice stock, so I’ll be going back there again soon! Shame that, as a blogger, I don’t qualify for the pro discount.

MoYou-London Suki Collection 07 Nail Art Stamping Plate

Happy Friday ladies! Well, I guess for any of you further East, it’s already the weekend. Does everyone have nice plans? The clocks go back this weekend in France, so we’ll have an extra hour on Sunday night. I’ve also listed almost all of my backlog of polish in the Boutique, and have some exciting news coming up for the beginning of December. So I guess we’ll be staying at home, which suits me fine 🙂

A couple of weeks ago, MoYou-London kindly sent me some plates to review. I had also purchased a couple, one of which I reviewed here. This plate is from the same series – the Suki Collection – it’s number 7 in the series, and did not disappoint!

First up, stamped in gold over a red polish; I used 4 different patterns, and they all came out gorgeous!

Since you can see the logo in the photo, please just be aware that I am not recommending Bondi NY nail polish currently. My September boxes apparently still haven’t been shipped. They were supposed to go out two weeks ago. I’m not going to get involved in details or controversy, but they have $50 of my money, I have nothing in return, and they are not providing an exact shipping date… I don’t want you wasting money ladies, something feels wrong with that company right now

MoYou-London Suki Collection 08 Nail Art Stamping Plate

Thanks to Jax at Craftynail, I just had to order some MoYou-London plates!

They arrived really quickly (from the UK), and the customer service was really great. I actually ordered through their Amazon site since one of the plates I really wanted wasn’t in stock on their main site. And, being the great dolt that I am, I managed to order the wrong one (I blame Amazon one-click !!) – and realised that just after validating the order. Well, I messaged them straight away and they were really nice about it, and sent the one I meant to order 😀

So one of the two I ordered is from the Suki Collection – it’s number 8 in the series, and is pretty awesome! It’s very hard to photograph shiny things, but I got one, just for you 😉

#31DC2013 – Polka Dots

Hi girlies!

I think my September blues is starting to blow over. I’ve had such fantastic support from friends recently, and so many lovely compliments from you, and one of my favourite brands got in touch to offer me a press sample (you’ll all know about it when it arrives ! follow my instagram if you want sneak previews), so everything’s looking a bit more fun. I’m also considering a re-design this autumn for a more wintery theme (still keeping the basic layout and minimalism) – what do you girls think? I really value your input 🙂

I used this prompt more as an excuse to doodle than to really plan out and do a ‘proper’ nail art, but I’m really quite pleased with the result, they look pretty cute 🙂

Both colours are China Glaze – the grey is Elephant Walk and the light coral/pink is I Wanna Lei Ya. These are great colours to put together for a mid-season mani, and totally compliment each other!
