Butter London – Bramble x Blowing Raspberries

Hey darlings!

I hope everyone had (or is still having!) a nice long weekend! Are there any readers in places that don’t have bank holidays for Easter?

I decided to take an unplanned break from blogging over the weekend. It did me a lot of good! I decided that it would be better to blog less, but better, rather than to push myself to post 5 times a week. My schedule will be slowing down a bit in a few weeks, so I’ll pick things up again then. For the next couple of weeks, you’ll still hear from me 4 times a week, I think 😉

I didn’t even go to the gym until this morning! I’ve been really committed to going 3 times a week since the end of December, but I took 6 days off, and this morning’s workout was much more satisfying – and sweatier! So overall I think the break was worth it 🙂

Butter London Queen Vic & Barry M Nail Art Pen

Hey honey bunnies!

Just a quickie today! I wore the gorgeous Queen Vic to work yesterday, because it’s juuuust a little bit different, but still very highly pigmented! It’s the only Butter London that I’ve ever had bubbling problems with, but I love my berry shades so much that I can cope with that 😉Butter London Queen Vic - Copy Continue reading

#NAILLINKUP – Aqua Nail Art

Yay, it’s Monday!!!

… Err, no, actually I hate Mondays. Always have. Speaking of which, I used to have a Garfield the cat bedspread with “I hate Mondays” on it. Because I loved Garfield. Mostly because I idolised my uncle, who loved Garfield, haha!

Now that you know a few useless interesting facts about me, lets talk nails!

Moyou London Mother Nature 01 Stamping Plate

Moyou London Mother Nature 01 Nail Art Stamping Plate

I’m so glad it’s finally the weekend, and I get a bit of time for me 🙂 it’s been a stressful, busy week, and I’m planning on spending this weekend preparing a few posts for next week, which, as far as I’m concerned, is the best way of relaxing

This is a post I actually prepared last weekend but didn’t have time to finish, which pretty much explains how little spare time I’ve had this week!

I first heard about MoYou-London (yes, you will get told off if you only call them ‘MoYou’!) when Craftynail published this article – it’s the press-release for the Mother Nature Collection, and I just love them! I spent a lot of time trying to decide which ones to order. And at the end of last year, I gave in, and ordered all 6! So today’s post is about Mother Nature 01. You can see that, on the plate, they called it ‘landscape collection’, so I guess it wasn’t originally intended to go with the others or the name got changed or something?

Butter London Jaded Jack & tribal nail art stamping from MoYou-London

Happy Monday!

Who am I kidding? No-one likes Mondays unless they don’t work 🙂 Still, here in France, Monday is nearly over, and I must say, I’m pretty glad about that 😉 so here’s a totally non-work-appropriate nail polish for you (yeah, I’m such a rebel!)

Butter London Jaded Jack

I’m not sure that I could really explain why, but I do love lime green nail polish! Whether I’m pale or tanned, I just love how it looks on my skin tone. So I couldn’t resist Jaded Jack by Butter London! Colour-wise, it packs an amazing punch, but without quite being neon. Continue reading

#NAILLINKUP – Butter London Keen & St Patricks Day Nail Art

Hello hello, did everyone have a nice weekend?

I gave the gym a pass this morning. I put myself under too much pressure to go all the time, and I haven’t been sleeping enough this week, so I decided it was time to take a break. I’ve also ignored my smartphone for most of the day, it’s been pretty nice!

Today, though, I have a very simple St Patrick’s Day mani to share 🙂

I haven’t bought as much polish recently as I used to. But I did order Keen, the base colour in this mani. The colour is great, but the formula isn’t so good. I always count on Butter London for the wicked smoothness of their polish, but this one is too thick. Which means it covers well, but then it drags. And bubbles. Seriously, this is the third time I’ve tried to wear it. And I still had to re-do a couple of nails! So, that’s kinda why I kept the nail art simple. A Gold shamrock accent nail, and a second accent nail with a half-shamrock, and I was done!

The gold is also by Butter London – The Full Monty. It’s a very nice polish, and I really should use it more often 🙂
