Avril Nail Polish – Coquelicot

Doesn’t the weekend just fly by so fast? Well, when you work during the week, at least!

To cheer up this dull Monday, I have a nice, cheerful polish for you, from a recent beauty box subscription that I have. This is a brand that I’ve been interested in trying, called Avril. They specialise in ‘natural’ cosmetics at a low price, and these bottles are little (just 7ml), but only cost 3.90€!

So, although the colour is cheerful, I decided to brighten it up even more with some branches, leaves and birds from Moyou-London’s Mother Nature 02 Stamping plate. As usual, a great plate from them!

And, despite loving the colour – and the price, well, I’m not sure if the polish does it for me. Coquelicot (that’s poppy in French) is a perfect poppy shade, but I had to use 3 coats, and since the brush is small (being in a small bottle, of course), it didn’t load up enough polish for my biggest nails. I’ll probably try some of their other cosmetics and another nail polish before deciding 100%, though!

Have a lovely week, everyone!

This is just gorgeous! Love the red here too.

  2. Katherine Buchanan says:

It is a lovely colour – the stamping really works well with it to give it a lift 🙂

  3. Kitsu says:

I love the color! How was the drying time with this? The “natural” polishes I’ve tried always took forever to dry.

Oh my god, those stamping plates are incredible!! Love the mani you made with this 🙂 I always have trouble with my white stamping polish turning yellow over some polishes, have you ever encountered/solved this problem?
