I’m so glad it’s finally the weekend, and I get a bit of time for me 🙂 it’s been a stressful, busy week, and I’m planning on spending this weekend preparing a few posts for next week, which, as far as I’m concerned, is the best way of relaxing
This is a post I actually prepared last weekend but didn’t have time to finish, which pretty much explains how little spare time I’ve had this week!
I first heard about MoYou-London (yes, you will get told off if you only call them ‘MoYou’!) when Craftynail published this article – it’s the press-release for the Mother Nature Collection, and I just love them! I spent a lot of time trying to decide which ones to order. And at the end of last year, I gave in, and ordered all 6! So today’s post is about Mother Nature 01. You can see that, on the plate, they called it ‘landscape collection’, so I guess it wasn’t originally intended to go with the others or the name got changed or something?
A lot of the motifs are centred around hearts, which (apart from around Valentines Day), isn’t really my thing. So, of the 6, this is my least favourite, but still a great plate with several patterns that I love to use!
The little bird cage and flowery shrubs came out great, but a couple of the birds went squiffy. I also used the opportunity to try the squishy rectangular stamper, which does a nice job of getting the stamp up to the edges of your nails, but if you press to hard, it can distort things a bit…
Last weekend, the weather was wonderful, so this was the perfect mani for a picnic in the garden. Macaron, anyone? 🙂
