Happy Monday!
Who am I kidding? No-one likes Mondays unless they don’t work 🙂 Still, here in France, Monday is nearly over, and I must say, I’m pretty glad about that 😉 so here’s a totally non-work-appropriate nail polish for you (yeah, I’m such a rebel!)
I’m not sure that I could really explain why, but I do love lime green nail polish! Whether I’m pale or tanned, I just love how it looks on my skin tone. So I couldn’t resist Jaded Jack by Butter London! Colour-wise, it packs an amazing punch, but without quite being neon.
Formula-wise though, it could have been better. Sure, it’s really very highly pigmented, nearly a one-coater. And it has a slightly matte texture that I love. I would also love it if that slightly matte texture was mentioned on Butter London’s website, but apparently that’s too much to ask. What really annoys me about the formula though, is that it doesn’t self-level very well. I mean, it doesnt streak or go gloopy, but it just seems to dry too fast to even out first.
It does, however, look awesome stamped and top coated! I used MoYou-London Explorer 14 (again, haha!) and my good ol’ Seche Vite.
So, is it perfect? Nope. But this is one hella awesome polish, and I don’t regret buying it !
On its own, it is WOW. Bright and sexy. I love it BUT then you stamp over it and it just doesn’t get better! AWESOME!
Haha, thanks Voni!
oh la vache !! j adore !!!!! la couleur déjà ça me parle !!! et le stamping il va parfaitement avec !! Gorgeous !!!
i want that on my nails!
Lime green looks so good on you! I’m jealous – I look diseased when I try to wear it haha. And of course, I love the MoYou stamping on it 🙂
Thanks! I was quite surprised when I learned it worked for me, lol
Awesome job on the tribal print stamping!
Wow…that crazy color looks great on you! Sorry that the formula wasn’t ideal, but you sure can’t tell by looking at your fabulous pictures! I love what you did with the stamping, too! ♥
Thanks Lu 🙂
I love lime polishes too, I dunno what it is.
And it looks PERFECT with this print.
