Yep, I have another photo-heavy duochrome swatch post for you 🙂
I love I Love Nail Polish! It’s a little pricey, but totally worth it. So I’m trying to collect all of the Ultrachromes. I got Birefringence, Cygnus Loop, Mutagen and My Little Glacier and talked about them in this post, and today I have the fifth to show you, Nostalgia. As usual, totally bought with my own money, and if you like what you see, you can order it here 🙂
Also as usual, these swatches are not taken underwater. If any mermaids are reading, lucky you! Your nails must look great 😉
I used 3 coats over a clear base, and finished it off with a coat of Sèche Vite (although it dries shiny anyway). Nostalgia has a very original colour shift (at least, that I haven’t seen before!) : merlot-rose-copper-gold-green !
I only have 2 reservations about this polish – (1) you need 3 coats. Two coats remains visibly patchy; and (2) it does show brush strokes a little. So, neither are really deal breakers, but if they are a very big deal for you, then it’s best to know that before you pay $12.50 for the bottle (12ml) 🙂
