Gosh, it’s only Tuesday! I wish this week would go a bit faster, since I’m not working on Friday…
I got totally addicted to the stamping plates that MoYou-London kindly sent me to review. So, at the end of last year, I put through a big order of ten more! This plate is from the same series as two that I already own – the Suki Collection – it’s number 5 in the series, and did not disappoint!
This plate has XL images. Even though my nails are pretty short at the moment, they are quite wide too, so these XL plates are just great for me!
The images are rectangular, so if you feel intimidated by the plates where all the patterns are mixed up, it’s a good option to go for 🙂
I tried 3 different manis with these patterns, as per usual, they pick up really nicely (I use a hard-ish Konad stamper) and the definition is super sharp on the nail 🙂
I’m not the best at stamping, so I always paint my nails, let them dry well, then top coat and let that dry for several hours before stamping. That means that if the stamp goes wrong, I can scratch it off, or, for denser patterns, wipe it off with acetone on a cotton bud (Q-tip).
For this design I used Barry M nail paints in Navy and Fuchsia. Then I did a bit of a glitter gradient on the blue nails, however that didn’t come out so great 🙂
Then I used Butter London Marrow and Barry M Silver Foil Effects with a glitter accent nail. Love this one! Those skinny lines on the pattern I used for my middle finger & thumb are so crisp!
Then I decided to make it a little more complicated with 3 Ciaté polishes
The pink is Candy Floss, the light blue is Ferris Wheel and the dark turquoise is headliner. The white and gold foils are both Barry M, which stamp beautifully! Headliner stamped quite nicely, but was a little patchy.
And, of course, you can get your plate here if you like what you see 😉
