#Naillinkup – Valentines Day

Hey hey hey, it’s the weekend!

Unfortunately this weekend looks to be one of staying in the warm and drinking lots of ginger tea, because I’ve caught a bug. Don’t worry, the Bloke has been sent out to the pharmacy, and has already started his hot-lemon-and-honey duties, so hopefully it won’t last too long. Anyway, that’s why I didn’t post this yesterday. I was tempted to cancel the restaurant reservation, but we went anyway. It was lovely and warm in there, and after a couple of glasses of Valpolicella, I felt okay again, but totally crashed when we got home.

This is my last Valentines nail art for this year, and it’s for the NAIL Linkup challenge. I’ve done a lot of heart-based nail art this week, but that’s mostly because it’s not a style I would usually do much. It’s nice to change!

My base colour is Pink Ribbon by Butter London. Which isn’t pink. It’s a peachy beige gelly. I used two coats. It’s a smooth, glossy and versatile polish, but it dries soooo slowly! So slowly, that I messed up two or three nails and had to start again. In the end, I had to fix that with Sèche Vite. Then I added the hearts with my Barry M Nail Art Pens in black and white.

While I realise that it isn’t the most exciting nail art in the world, it is office-appropriate, whilst still being cute enough to make me smile 🙂
