Hey ladies! It’s Thursday, which means that tomorrow is Friday, woop! Monday will be another national holiday in France (Armistice Day), so I have another long weekend coming up 🙂
Today I woke up feeling a bit groggy with a huge cold. But since Thursdays are work-from-home days, it wasn’t too bad, I’ve been keeping warm and drinking plenty of fluids. I even got quite a lot of work done in the end 🙂 but since I woke up an hour before I needed to get to business, I grabbed my gorgeous (synthetic – because I really am against animal cruelty, you may have noticed!) Roubloffs and decided to try doing one-stroke roses. For the first time. And it turned out awesome. So prepare for some photo spam!
The base colour is Jane Eyre by A England. Lovely, high-pigmented, silky, fast drying… I can’t say enough good stuff about this polish! I love how it looks black in low light, but those tiny purple-red flecks come out as soon as daylight hits it. Even dreary November daylight makes this polish glow!
The red for my roses contrasts pretty sharply with the purple. Normally when you do one-stroke, you use a detail brush to touch up the edges and/or add leaves and such… But I couldn’t bear to change this mani at all. It’s perfect just as it is!
I have tried one stroke a couple of times before, but not very recently. And the other times, it came out okay. But just okay. So you can imagine how happy I am with these roses 🙂 I think my thumb even deserves a special mention!
And yep, I managed the right hand too !
