It’s pretty cool to be able to post so early in the day!
I work in tourism, and as you can imagine, it’s pretty quiet in October. So my boss is letting me work from home a couple of days a week – and it’s awesome! I get so much done! And best of all, that saves me over 2 1/2 hours in the train. So hi guys!
Well, today is the last day of the challenge. I’m a bit disappointed that I didn’t manage to do it every day. Sometimes real life just doesn’t go how you hope. But I had a lot of fun, tried some new techniques, and discovered some new blogs to follow!
Today I’m using the Nailasaurus’ awesome rainbow mani. She does a few waterfall manis, and this was just spectacular, I’m sure I’m not the only one to have chosen this mani to recreate!
That’s a lot of colours! So to save time, I didn’t use nail polish for the ‘waterfall’, I used acrylic paint. I put a few drops on a palette and mixed them about to make all the colours. Unfortunately my blue is pretty dark, and it looks like it’s not a ‘true’ blue since the purple came out brownish. Still, I just love the effect, and hopefully if I try it again some time, I’ll be able to get more even, straighter lines 😉
See what I mean about the purple? Still, the indigo came out awesome, and all the other colours worked really well – and since I used acrylic paint, I just rinsed it out of the brush, it wasnt too messy.
