Shimmer Polish – Karen, Kim & Nichole

Here’s part two of the gorgeous Shimmer Polish that I have to show you 🙂

Sorry I’m a bit absent this week, it’s super crazy at work! To make it up to you, I have three Shimmer Polish glitter bombs to show you today 🙂

First up, Karen is a feminine mauve. Great colour for summer!

There’s some holo in there too, see !

The formula is the same as Eva and Mary, that I posted yesterday : No sign of the glitter sinking – though each bottle has (at least!) 3 mixing balls just in case), yet it doesn’t feel gloopy or difficult to work. It’s opaque in 2-3 coats. Of course, it eats top coat a bit, but a couple of generous coats will do the trick. Plus, it’s pretty fast drying, and doesn’t smell too funky. Really the only downside is removal – we all know how that can be tricky with glitters.

It’s still hard to choose, but I think Kim is one of my favourites, I’m such a sucker for blue and purple glitter !

I don’t think there’s holo here, but there’s definitely silver glitter, which really lightens up this polish and makes it super wearable !

Nichole is a super cute combo of red, blue and holo.

Another firm favourite, and super sparkly !

The fourth of July is, of course coming up, and whilst obviously we don’t celebrate that over here, I decided to use Nichole to make a cute stars-and-stripes (very) abstract mani – I tried to punk it up a bit 🙂

Stay tuned for part three tomorrow !

  1. Lisa N. says:

Lovely colors all three of them are 🙂 Karen is my cousin’s name too! 🙂

  2. I like the Kim polish, but is it really bad (or weird) that the nail art now makes me want ice cream cake?

Yeah, it’s weird. My thought, not the art; that’s good.
