Models Own – Concrete Mixer + Artistix Nail Art pen in Pastel Pink

Just a quick Sunday Swatch post πŸ™‚

Models Own is coming to France (it’ll be carried at Monoprix), and Joliebox France let us choose our nail polish colour this month to celebrate !

I went for Concrete Mixer, an intriguing greige. It has a pretty nice formula, dries in average time, 2 coats for opacity, so a nice basic to have πŸ™‚

Plus, when back in the UK, I naturally mosied on into Boots and picked up an ‘Artistix’ nail art pen to play with πŸ™‚

I hadn’t quite gotten the hang of it, but I think it looks okay…

  1. This looks lovely Brijit!

  2. How on earth did you make greige look so girl friendly? Lovely mani!

Heya πŸ™‚ I think i would only use this one as you did for a base before creating some kind of design over it. But to wear Concrete Mixer alone…hmm i think its rather boring. 😦
But it might be just my passion for bright & metallic (and other textures) polishes speaking.
    We all have different taste.

    • Of course, and that’s what makes it fun πŸ™‚

      • Luchessa says:

What is your most favorite color range in general?

      • That’s a good question πŸ™‚ I couldn’t choose, to be honest. I love purples, but there is no way I would stop wearing neutrals either. Pastels and super shiny metallics for the summer, and reds and browns in the autumn! How about you?

      • Luchessa says:

Well actually i’m not far away from that. I love purples, blues and (berry-) reds. But i don’t wear pastels (or nuturals) at all.
The only time i probably do if i create a special kind of design…but mostly i go for metallics, holos, velvet matts & velvet diamonds, sand style – but not so much glitteres.

What a pretty shade! Love the manicure you did too πŸ™‚

  5. So pretty Brijit! I think you are right about the gold glitter. It would be lovely. I actually thought this had a gold shimmer in it due to the lighting in the first pic. I think your nail art is pretty!

  6. Love the design you did =) Was it inspired by petals? Pinning it now so that I can use it as inspiration when I finally take the leap to doing freehand nail art xD

  7. This is a neat color! I tried the periwinkle and I loved it too!

  8. […] I applied this in two coats over black (on my index at the top), dark grey (on my middle finger), light greige (the ring finger) and white (plus a bit of top coat) […]
