Hello girlies, sorry for my absence yesterday. I’ve caught a big fat cold (thank you, horrible cold, wet May!) and wasn’t feeling too clever at all.
However, this week hasn’t been a total fail, I got given the most beautiful gift from a friend – nail polish of course !
In the words of the great Run DMC : “Check this out !”
When I was studenting and money was really tight, I really counted on Bourjois cosmetics. In the UK it’s a lot cheaper than out here in France, and it lasted a long time and was good enough quality not to make my skin flare up. I literally had just 6 nail polishes and they were all this brand.
Since that was so long ago, they either got used up or went too goopy. And I moved on, and discovered Essie, O.P.I., butter LONDON and indie polishes. This is a new shade for me (although the 6 I had are still sold, I believe, and are in the exact same range as Adora-bleu), and I’m delighted to see that, actually, it stands up to more expensive brands !
Adora-bleu is a super-pigmented pastel cornflower blue, dries fast (for a non-fast dry), self levels perfectly, gives a perfect, smooth finish, and lasts a good few days before chipping ! I only did 1-2 coats per nail on this one – most nails were perfect in one single coat ! The only thing slightly ‘average’ about this polish is the brush, but it’s not as bad as picture polish, it’s just not especially nice either.
I couldn’t resist getting a stamping plate out to jazz up my tips ! What do you think?
